RentCafe Resident is a resident-facing mobile platform used by multifamily communities to streamline everyday living—from rent payments and maintenance requests to package notifications, lease documents, and community communication. As apartment technology continues to shape the resident experience, digital convenience is no longer a luxury—it’s an expectation.
Drawing from firsthand experience in multifamily operations, this proposed product redesign reimagines how the resident experience could feel more intuitive, modern, and human—transforming routine tasks into a more seamless digital journey.

UX Audit:
Core friction points were identified across navigation, task prioritization, and communication workflows. The redesign focused on reducing cognitive load while surfacing the features residents rely on most—from payments and maintenance to packages and community updates.
Interface Design:
A cleaner visual system, stronger hierarchy, and simplified user flows transformed routine interactions into a more intuitive mobile experience—making everyday tasks feel faster, clearer, and more approachable.
Every screen was designed with both resident behavior and operational efficiency in mind—bridging the gap between property teams, service workflows, and the people who depend on them every day.
